Simon Blake

Partner at Price Bailey

Simon trained with Price Bailey and returned in 2009 to build the current Strategic Corporate Finance Team which he leads today.

Simon is a specialist adviser for owner managed business, advising on the lifecycle of a client’s business from a corporate finance and M&A (mergers and acquisitions) perspective. This will include assessing, identifying and sourcing funding requirements, whether for organic growth, acquisition or re-financing; business valuation for both M&A activity, dispute resolution, tax purposes (share schemes, probate, restructuring); investigative services, including due diligence and forensic work. The focus of Simon’s work is usually at the board room table, acting as lead advisor, coordinating the team involved in the transaction including others as required.

Simon is part of Price Bailey’s international business development team travelling regularly in Europe and the US and an active and regular speaker and contributor at UK200 and IAPA events on corporate finance matters.

Simon is also increasingly involved in similar work in the not-for-profit sector, especially in the social finance/social investment arena. This is where his role at Price Bailey, and as a Trustee of a top 100 UK Charity and Stewardship, combine.

In the remaining time outside of a busy job and family life, Simon enjoys playing squash and skiing and also a good walk with the dog at the weekend. He is Church Treasurer of Rock Baptist Church in Cambridge.
