Fielding Norton

Fielding Norton has an extensive work experience in the insurance and risk management industry. Currently, they are the Co-Founder & Chief Insurance Officer at FutureProof Technologies, where they utilize AI and innovative data sources to develop advanced risk models for climate-related risks. Previously, Fielding served as the Chief Executive Officer at ClimaSure Ltd and also worked as an Advisor to the Founder & CEO at Ric, Pricing Platform, and Jumpstart Insurance. Fielding has held various roles at XL Catlin, including Executive VP & Chief Enterprise Risk Officer, Director of XL Bermuda Ltd, and Managing Director & Deputy Chief Enterprise Risk Officer. Fielding also worked as the Senior VP & Chief Risk Officer at Ironshore Insurance. Earlier in their career, they held progressively senior risk, underwriting, and pricing leadership roles at GE Capital. Fielding started their career as an Assistant Research Scientist & Science Program Manager at the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences (BIOS).

Fielding Norton has a diverse education history. Starting from 1991 to 1995, they attended Harvard University and earned a Ph.D. in Earth & Planetary Sciences. During the same period of time, they also pursued an M.S. in Applied Physics at Harvard University in 1991-1992. Later, they completed their undergraduate education at The University of Kansas, where they obtained a B.S. in Science & Math Education.

In terms of additional certifications, Fielding Norton acquired a certification from Stanford Graduate School of Business in the dy/dx Executive Residency program. This certification was obtained in July 2023. Additionally, they obtained a certification called "Reid Hoffman and Chris Yeh on Blitzscaling" from LinkedIn in January 2021.
