Jimmy Lin is a Professor and the David R. Cheriton Chair at the University of Waterloo, where they have contributed to the academic community since 2015. In addition to their professorship, they serve as Co-Director at the Waterloo Data & Artificial Intelligence Institute starting in 2021. Jimmy also holds the position of Chief Scientist at both Primal and BSL AI, beginning in 2022 and 2025, respectively. They are currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
