Yida Xu

Yida Xu, P.Eng. is a seasoned electrical engineer and program manager with extensive experience in transportation and street lighting design. Currently serving as Program Manager at Primary Engineering and Construction since December 2021, Yida Xu oversees projects for the City of Vancouver, including traffic signal and duct bank design, as well as construction management and cost estimating. Previously, Yida Xu worked as an electrical engineer at Great Northern Engineering Consultants, specializing in streetlighting and traffic signal design for various municipalities and the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI). Earlier experience includes roles at Stantec, where Yida Xu contributed to shallow utility design and coordination, roadway and exterior lighting projects, and contract administration. Yida Xu holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary.
