David Burns

David Burns has over 20 years of experience in the field of mechanical engineering, particularly in the commissioning of critical facilities such as data centers. David has held various leadership positions throughout their career, including Vice President of Mechanical Commissioning at Bureau Veritas Primary Integration. In this role, they managed the day-to-day operations of data center commissioning teams in the EMEA and APAC regions. Prior to this, they served as the Technical Team Lead and Senior Mechanical Commissioning Engineer at the same company. David also has experience in facility management, contract management, and as a Managing Director of their own engineering firm. David has worked for companies such as Bilfinger HSG Facility Management Ltd, Veolia Ireland, Intel, and Elstan Engineering Ltd. David is a dedicated leader, focused on business growth and client satisfaction, and has a strong background in engineering and technical support.

David Burns obtained a MSc in Energy Management from the Institute of Technology, Sligo, completing this degree from 2010 to 2013. Before that, they achieved a Senior Trade Qualification in Mechanical Fitter from Technological University Dublin, spanning from 1993 to 1997. Additionally, in February 2018, David received a Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA) Certification from the AABC Commissioning Group (ACG).
