Michael Barrett is an experienced engineering professional with a diverse background in the mining and construction industries. Michael began his career as a Construction Engineer at Mastermyne Pty Ltd and C.D. Henderson Construction Group, followed by roles at BHP Billiton as Contractor Coordinator and later as Engineer for Drill & Blast and Mine Planning. Michael served in the Royal Australian Navy as an Officer from January 2020 to July 2023. Since November 2025, Michael has been working as a Drill and Blast Engineer at Prime Mining, with a recent position at Orica. Michael holds a Master's degree from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Applied Science from QUT.
