Mark Johnson

Mark Johnson has had two significant work experiences throughout their career. Starting in 1978, they worked at the Cook County Highway Department as the Division Head for the Consulting and Estimating Divisions. Mark held this position for over 30 years, until October 2009. In 2010, they joined Primera Engineers, where they held multiple roles. Mark began as an Old Engineer and a Grumpy Old Engineer, with no specified end dates.

Mark Johnson attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1973 to 1978, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Highway Engineering. Subsequently, in 1980, they enrolled at Loyola University Chicago and completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree, although the field of study was not specified. Additionally, in 1982, they obtained a certification as a Licensed Professional Engineer from the State of Illinois.
