Lead Commissioning Engineer at Principle Power

David Codina has a diverse work experience in the maritime industry. David most recently worked as a Lead Commissioning Engineer at Principle Power starting in September 2020. Prior to that, they were a Freelance Consultant & Marine Engineer at Independent Marine Surveyor starting in December 2019. From December 2016 to November 2019, they were the Technical Manager at Blue Sea Fishing. David also worked as a Marine and Offshore Surveyor at Bureau Veritas Group from May 2015 to August 2016. Before that, they held a position as superintendent at Maritec NV Shipmanagement from December 2012 to July 2014, where they were responsible for various roles including Alternate DPA, QHSE manager, and Technical Support. David began their career at Bureau Veritas as a Plan Approval Office Engineer from December 2008 to December 2012.

David Codina's education history includes a Master's degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Liège, which they obtained from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena from 2005 to 2007. David also holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering, which they earned from the Universidade da Coruña from 2002 to 2005.
