Fernando Rocha has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Fernando currently works as a Senior Structural Engineer at Principle Power since June 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Lead Structural Engineer at Subsea 7 from September 2019 to May 2022.
Before their role at Subsea 7, Fernando worked at Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa as a Finance and Administration Manager and Local Emergency Coordinator from April 2018 to April 2019. In this role, they were responsible for managing the financial department, supply chain, logistics, and facility administration.
Fernando also has previous experience at Subsea 7 as a Senior Structural Engineer from July 2013 to September 2015, where they were involved in the design, engineering, procurement, and fabrication of various structural items. Fernando also acted as a technical advisor for other project areas. Prior to this, they worked as a Structural Engineer at Subsea 7 from November 2010 to June 2013.
Before joining Subsea 7, Fernando started their career as a Graduate Engineer at Acergy from June 2008 to October 2010. In this role, they were responsible for diverse steel calculations, structure fabrication follow-up, and design of ship structures for installation purposes.
Fernando's earliest work experience was as a Graduate Engineer at GlobalVia, Consultores de Engenharia, SA from February 2007 to April 2008. In this role, they were involved in CAD design, fabrication drawings production, and minor steel design calculations for bridges, retaining walls, and highway signing posts.
Fernando Rocha obtained a Licentiate Degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Design from Universidade de Coimbra. Fernando completed their studies at the university from 1999 to 2006.
