Alan BC Dang

Alan BC Dang is a Chief Medical Officer & Co-Founder at PrinterPrezz since 2018. Prior to this, they were Co-Founder at Edge Labs - UCSF Department of Orthopaedic Surgery since 2017. From 2012 to 2017, they were an HS Associate Clinical Professor, Division of Spine Surgery, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UCSF, as well as Staff Surgeon, Orthopaedic Surgery Section, Department of Surgery at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Alan BC was also Co-Founder/Director at Orthopaedic Rapid Intelligent Fabrication from 2012 to 2017. From 2008 to 2011, they were Special Advisor and Editor-at-Large at Bestofmedia Group and Spine Surgery Fellow/Clinical Instructor at UC San Diego Health System from 2011 to 2012. From 2006 to 2011, they were an Orthopaedic Surgery Resident at University of Connecticut (New England Musculoskeletal Institute). Prior to this, they were Founder and President at Fucata from 1996 to 2008 and Research Scientist at Stanford University Medical Media and Informational Technologies from 2000 to 2001 and 2005.

Alan BC Dang completed their BS in Biological Sciences from Stanford University from 1998 to 2001. Alan BC then attended the University of California, San Francisco - School of Medicine from 2001 to 2006, where they obtained their MD in Medicine. From 2006 to 2011, Dang was a Resident at the New England Musculoskeletal Institute in Orthopaedic Surgery. In 2009, they were a Fellow in Orthopaedic Surgery at the AAOS/OREF/ORS Clinician Scientist Development Program. From 2011 to 2012, Dang was a Fellow in Spine Surgery at UC San Diego. In 2014, they obtained their Diplomate from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
