Kayla Nickley

Kayla Nickley is a seasoned design professional with a robust background in industrial design and design research. Currently serving as a Senior Design Research Specialist at Priority Designs since January 2023, Kayla previously held notable positions such as Senior Industrial Designer at Zuko, Inc., where efforts focused on making light therapy accessible at home and achieving FDA compliance. At DuraStat, Kayla redesigned a suture delivery device and contributed to IRB-approved protocols. Earlier experience includes leading research and prototype evaluations at Michael Graves Design Group and innovating product solutions during an internship at Mettler-Toledo International, Inc. Kayla's career also includes developing research tools for Honda R&D. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from The Ohio State University and study abroad at Folkwang Hochschule, emphasizing experience design.
