For more than 25 years, Priority IAC has been at the forefront of microbiology-based livestock nutrition.

Our story began with Richard V. Breunig, who discovered firsthand the impact of microbial imbalance after a devastating grain mistake at Clover Mist Farm in the late 1990s. That event reshaped his mission and led to the founding of Priority IAC in 1998.

Since then, we’ve dedicated our work to understanding the rumen at its deepest level — the microbiology.
This research produced Smartbacteria™, Microbiology Nutrition, and a new generation of ocean-mineral-based technologies that help animals maintain balance through today’s ever-changing forage and feeding challenges.

We serve producers,  nutritionists, and veterinarians who want to build performance on a foundation of rumen stability, not short-term patches.
