Hanny K. is the Executive Director at Poet’s Walk Leesburg and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration at Old Dominion University and a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Health Management and Policy at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Previously, Hanny completed roles such as Project Intern at Eastern Virginia Medical School and Public Health Advisor at the CDC Washington D.C. Quarantine Station, focusing on emergency response and health communication. Hanny has also worked as a Regional Infection Preventionist at Vierra Communities and as an Infection Preventionist at Cherrydale Health & Rehabilitation Center, emphasizing quality improvement and public health education. Fluent in Amharic and Wolaytta, Hanny is committed to enhancing the quality of life through effective health management and policy initiatives.
