Tom Houlé has had a long and varied career in software engineering. In 2008, they began their career as a Municipal Agent at the Mairie de Gap. In 2013, they were an Intern for the Alliance française network-wide training plan. In 2015, they worked as a Web Developer and R&D and Intern in charge of a travel agency project at Mèdièval AFDP. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as a Senior Full Stack Developer and Tech Lead at store2be, developing new React applications and introducing Typescript to the team. Since 2019, they have been working at Prisma as an Engineer and Tech Lead, working on the Rust components of the ORM and assuming responsibility for Prisma Migrate, Introspection, the Prisma Schema Language and its implementation, language tools, and the technical vision and strategic implementation decisions. Since 3 Jan 2023, they have been working on the Query Engine behind Prisma Client.
Tom Houlé has a diverse educational background. Tom began their studies in 2008 at Sciences Po Aix, where they obtained a IEP cursus in Political Science and Government in 2013. In 2012, they also obtained a Master 2 in International Cultural Projects and Patronage from the same institution. In 2010, they spent a year in academic exchange at Meiji Gakuin University. Finally, in 2014, they obtained a Master 2 (M2) in Tourism and Heritage Studies from Université Lumière Lyon 2. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications from Coursera Course Certificates, The Japan Foundation, Chinese National Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, and Scrum Alliance.
