Pristanište is a Montenegrin charitable foundation. Since 2022, we have been supporting people affected by Russia’s war against Ukraine: Ukrainian refugees, as well as anti-war Russians and Belarusians who were forced to leave their homes because of their political views.

Since March 2022, the foundation has received more than 5000 requests for various types of assistance, refugees were in need of housing, food, medical care, and psychological support. More than 2000 people have stayed at the Pristanište Shelter in Budva, the majority of them citizens of Ukraine.

From March 2023, we’ve been running a program called ‘A Quiet Place to Sleep’.

Through this programme, children from Ukraine come to the Pristanište shelter for two weeks of rest. These are kids who have lived under shelling for more than four years. For many of them, this is the first time traveling abroad and the first time seeing the sea.
During their stay, children spend 12–14 days in Montenegro, free from the constant fear of bombings and sirens. These few peaceful days are essential for their recovery and restoring a fundamental sense of security. They spend time by the sea, experience nature and participate in cultural and social activities that help them reconnect with life beyond war. Through this program we aim to expand horizons, strengthen resilience and give children a real memory of peace that they can return to internally even after they go home.

We exist thanks to the generosity of people who care about Ukrainians affected by the war.
Even the smallest donation helps us continue supporting Ukrainian children.
Thank you for standing with us.
