Herb Cohen

Herb Cohen is a private practice trauma and addiction specialist who uses mindfulness, hypnotherapy, EMDR, and Brain Spotting in their work. They are EMDRIA-certified and certified in Clinical Hypnotherapy, and have served as a keynote speaker and workshop presenter. They currently own and operate a private practice and work as a psychotherapist at Psychotherapy, Recovery and Healing, providing EMDR, Brain Spotting, art therapy, and counseling for PTSD, trauma, sexual and physical abuse, addiction, eating disorders, anxiety disorders, grief, and related concerns. From 1996 to 2021, they co-chaired the Long Island Committee on Sexual Abuse and Family Violence. They studied at the State University at Stony Brook, School of Social Welfare, in 1991-1992.
