Debra Vanhook

Debra VanHook has extensive work experience in the field of IT and customer support. Debra started their career as an Executive Secretary at TCI in 1998, where they reported directly to the regional VP and handled various administrative tasks. Debra then worked as an IT Tech II at Comcast Cable from 2000 to 2003, providing support for computers, servers, phone systems, and software.

In 2004, Debra joined EDS Technologies as a Call Center Analyst before moving on to Vertafore in 2006. At Vertafore, they served as a CSA II/Team Lead, handling calls from insurance agents and agencies and providing support for insurance questions. Debra also worked with SQL, NIPR, ePal, and SaS for troubleshooting purposes.

Debra's experience in customer support continued in subsequent roles. Debra worked as a Customer Support Representative at TekSystems in 2015, where they handled calls from state employees and provided troubleshooting for hardware and software issues. Later that year, they joined OtterBase as an Application Specialist, before transitioning to Gestamp Mason as a Desktop Administrator. In this role, they dealt with troubleshooting software issues, logging calls in Service Now, and maintaining company assets, including cell phones and desktops.

Debra's most recent positions include Desktop Support Analyst at TEKsystems in 2017, Senior Desktop Engineer at ProAssurance in 2018, and System Engineer II at ProAssurance, where they currently work.

Debra VanHook completed their high school education at Grand Ledge, where they obtained a High School Diploma in General Office Occupations and Clerical Services from 1972 to 1976. In 1975, they briefly attended Lansing Community College, although it is not specified whether they obtained a degree or pursued any field of study at that time. Later, in 2002, Debra attended New Horizon Techn. School and focused on MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) for one year. Finally, in 2008, they furthered their education at Lansing Community College and studied My Sql & CSR for a brief period.
