Jonathan Whitman

Jonathan Whitman serves as Vice President of Claims Reinsurance Liability and Analytics at ProAssurance, where experience includes managing complex professional liability claims for medical professionals and developing innovative solutions in a dynamic environment. Previous roles at ProAssurance include AVP of Complex Litigation, Director of Claims, Litigation Manager, and Claims Specialist, focusing on professional liability claims for medical and legal professionals. Jonathan has a distinguished background in the US Army National Guard, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and holding various leadership positions, including Cavalry Platoon Leader and Fire Support Officer, from 1982 to 2009. Academically, Jonathan holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Birmingham School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from The University of Alabama.
