Shep Tapasak has extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Shep started their career at ISO as a Senior Actuarial Analyst in 1986 and worked there until 1992. Shep then joined The Northern Group / Extendicare Inc. in 1994 as the Vice President of Underwriting and Risk Management, where they were responsible for underwriting operations, program development, and insurance placements. In 1998, they became the National Healthcare Practice Leader at Royal & SunAlliance, focusing on growing professional liability and workers compensation coverages in the mid-market space. In 2003, they joined AIG as the Senior Vice President/Regional Executive, responsible for the Lexington E&S platform in the southeast. At AIG, they developed and led distribution strategies, managed underwriting staff, and ensured risk adjusted profitability. In 2016, they joined Integro Insurance Brokers as the Managing Principal until 2019. Currently, they are working at ProAssurance as the Senior Vice President of Specialty Underwriting.

Shep Tapasak's education history begins in 1982 when they enrolled at Binghamton University to pursue a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Economics and Mathematics. Shep completed their undergraduate studies in 1986. Following this, from 1989 to 1992, Shep attended Brooklyn Law School, where they earned a Juris Doctor (JD) degree with a focus on Law.
