Steve Dapkus

Steve Dapkus has extensive work experience in various roles within the insurance industry. Steve started their career in 1998 as a Senior Consultant at CBSI Global, where they primarily worked with Medical Assurance, a predecessor company to ProAssurance. In December 2001, they joined ProAssurance as a Director of IT and worked their way up to become the Director of IT for strategic initiatives. In this role, they were responsible for web/digital initiatives, business intelligence reporting, and data-conversions/applications integration.

In 2008, Dapkus transitioned to the role of Director of Online Operations, leading customer-facing digital initiatives and reporting to the SVP of Sales & Marketing. Steve was also the Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Marketing for Digital Initiatives before being promoted to Vice President (VP) of Marketing in September 2016. As VP, their responsibilities expanded to include oversight of the Communications and Risk Management departments following the NORCAL Group acquisition in May 2021.

During their tenure at ProAssurance, Dapkus also had a developmental assignment at ProAssurance General Insurance Company (PGIC) from 2011 to 2015. In this role, they served as Vice President and Assistant Secretary, primarily handling administrative matters between the company and its captive managers, reinsurance partners, insured clients, and agents/brokers for PGIC's portfolio of segregated cell captive programs.
