Shawnte Santos has extensive experience in library and information services, serving in various roles at the South San Francisco Public Library from February 2015 to December 2021, including Youth Services Manager and Circulation, Technical, and Patron Services Manager. Responsibilities included assisting patrons, promoting library resources, and launching innovative programs such as the LibLab MakerSpace. Shawnte demonstrates a strong ability to enhance community engagement through program planning and social media awareness. Prior to this, leadership experience was gained as President of the Special Libraries Association's SJSU Student Group, significantly increasing membership and improving communication. Educational qualifications include a Master of Library & Information Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Visual Culture, both from San José State University.
