Roser Saurí

NLP Co-Lead at Process Talks

Roser Saurí has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. In 1991, they worked as a Lexicographer Assistant at the Institut d'Estudis Catalans (IEC) until 1994. From 1994 to 1999, they were an Assistant Professor at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). Roser then transitioned to the role of Researcher at UPF from 1999 to 2000. From 2001 to 2009, Roser held various positions at Brandeis University, including Teaching and Research Assistant and later a Postdoctoral Fellow. Roser joined Fundacio Barcelona Media as a Marie Curie Research Fellow from 2009 to 2013. Returning to UPF in 2014, Roser served as an Associate Professor for seven months. Roser joined Oxford University Press in 2014 and held several roles, including Senior Language Technologist, Content and Data Technical Manager, Data Development Team Lead, and Language Technology Strategist until 2021. Currently, they work as an NLP Co-Lead at Process Talks since March 2022.

Roser Saurí obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science from Brandeis University, completing their studies from 2004 to 2008. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Computer Science from the same university from 2001 to 2003. In 1998, Roser Saurí completed their Master of Arts (MA) in Applied Linguistics at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. Roser began their higher education at Universitat de Barcelona, where they focused on Catalan Philology from 1989 to 1994. Additionally, Roser Saurí has also undertaken Yoga Teacher Training at TriYoga Boston to further develop their skills in Yoga, although specific dates for this training are not provided.
