James Pate has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. James started their career in 2007 as an Equipment Operator at ConSite Services and worked there until 2012. In 2012, they joined G. R. Manufacturing, Inc. as a Mechanical Design Engineer and worked there until 2016. James then moved on to FONTAINE HEAVY-HAUL, where they worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer from 2014 to 2015. In 2013, they briefly worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at FreightCar America, Inc. Currently, they are working as an Application Engineer at ProcessBarron since 2017.

James Pate completed their undergraduate education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 2010 to 2012. James earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree with a specialization in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to that, they attended the University of Alabama from 1997 to 1998, where they pursued Mechanical Engineering without completing a degree. Before their time at the University of Alabama, James Pate attended Troy University from 1995 to 1997 for Pre-Engineering studies.
