UPMC is an experienced, high-volume ECMO Center that has cannulated over 930 patients and has been designated as a Gold-Level ELSO Center of Excellence.  Our perfusion led transport team has successfully transported over 120 ECMO patients.

The American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion recognized Procirca Perfusion Simulation Center at UPMC offers state of the art simulation education.  We have developed high fidelity ECMO simulation training models that allow clinicians to experience ECMO from cannulation through weaning, and utilize clinical scenarios to reinforce critical bedside skills.

Procirca offers an extensive list of ECMO Training Programs.  From a 3.5 day Comprehensive Adult ECMO Training Course for those new to ECMO to shorter ECMO Refresher Courses for those who just need to bring their ECMO skills up-to-date , we have something for everyone.  We also offer on-site ECMO Boot Camps for centers starting new programs with large numbers of staff to educate.  

Beginning in 2018, Procirca will also offer Locum ECMO Coverage to assist with your staffing needs  along with consultative services to help your growing program stay on track.
