Tom Recht

Tom Recht is a data analytics consultant at ProCogia, with a focus on utilizing NLP methods to enhance image search query understanding for global clients, developing a highly effective custom spell checker, and contributing to sentiment classification and topic modeling for ProCogia's Appsedia tool. With extensive teaching experience at institutions such as San Francisco State University, Stanford University, and UC Berkeley, Tom has taught Latin, Greek, and linguistics at various levels, including directing summer workshops. Tom's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Linguistics and dual M.A.s in Classics and Linguistics from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as a B.A. in Linguistics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Additionally, Tom has experience in speech recognition and translation, having worked as an analyst at Phonetic Systems and as a freelance Hebrew-English translator.
