Paul Botha

Paul Botha has extensive experience in the engineering and petroleum industries. Paul worked as an Engineering Manager and Principal Process Engineer at Proconics since 2018. Prior to that, Paul worked at Shell and BP South African Petroleum Refineries as an Oil Movements & Blending Technologist, responsible for day-to-day operations and blending of various fuels and products. Paul also worked at Shell as a Technologist Thermal Conversion, focusing on modelling, process tools, and documentation. Before joining Shell, Paul worked at Sasol as a Senior Process Engineer, leading the Wax Workup Section of a major project and working on a pre-feasibility study for a wax extraction facility. Overall, Paul's experience spans a wide range of engineering and process management roles in the petroleum industry.

Paul Botha has a strong education background in Chemical Engineering. Paul obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Chemical Engineering from Stellenbosch University in 2005-2006. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Chemical Engineering at the same university from 2001-2004. Paul also holds an International Baccalaureate Diploma from the International Baccalaureate School Linden "Alberdingk Thym" from 1998-2000. Additionally, in 2012, they obtained the certification of Pr. Eng. from the Engineering Council of South Africa.
