David Boatwright

David Boatwright is Of Counsel at Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP, where their practice focuses on transactional business and tax matters, including mergers, acquisitions, and real estate transactions. They previously served as Co-Chair of Procopio's Mergers & Acquisitions and Strategic Joint Venture Practice Group. With over a decade at Latham & Watkins as Chair of the San Diego tax practice, David has extensive experience in high-value business combination transactions. Their legal career includes leadership roles at several prestigious firms, including Chair of the Corporate Group at Page, Polin, Busch & Boatwright and Chair of the San Diego Tax Group at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison. David earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northern Arizona University and a Doctor of Law from Pepperdine University School of Law, where they were Salutatorian.
