Phillipa Altmann

Phillipa Altmann is currently Of Counsel at Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP, where they advise charter schools on a range of key issues including organizational policies, contracts, and board governance. Previously, they served as General Counsel for Alliance College-Ready Public Schools from 2022 to 2024 and as Senior Litigation Counsel at the California Charter Schools Association from 2011 to 2022. Their legal career began as an Associate at Bright & Brown from 1996 to 2003, followed by a position as Of Counsel at Gilchrist & Rutter from 2003 to 2011. Phillipa holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and has earned a JD from UC Berkeley Boalt School of Law, with continued studies at the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law.
