John Brownlee began their career at Procter & Gamble in January 2003, where they served as Associate Marketing Director for Salon Professional Hair Care North America. In this role, they were responsible for $400 million in sales across a portfolio of four brands: Wella, Sebastian, Nioxin, and Clairol Professional. John also had direct responsibility for a staff of 40+ direct reports across marketing, PR, and market research.
During their time at Procter & Gamble, John Brownlee delivered the strongest years of core brand growth in P&G Salon Professional history, with a +4% topline and double-digit bottomline. John also developed a global success model for portfolio management behind the “fewer/bigger” megabrand model, which delivered objectives while reducing complexity with -14% initiative load. In addition, they created and qualified an equity framework for P&G Salon Professional’s face to the industry, including a “where to play” model, strategic targets, and ownable points of differentiation.
Under John Brownlee’s leadership, the organization saw record-setting results, with double-digit increases in key measures “Simplification”, “Confidence in Leadership”, and “Work/Life Effectiveness”. John was also the leadership sponsor for P&G Salon Professional African-American affinity team.
John Brownlee has a Masters in English from the University of Florida and a Bachelor's degree in English from Boston College, where they graduated with honors.
They are on a team with Bruno De Weer - Senior Vice President Product Supply, Global Health Care, Carlos De Jesus - Senior Vice President North America Oral Care, and Paul Gama - President, Personal Health Care. Their manager is Jennifer Davis, CEO - Health Care.
