About Prodbay
We are building the borderless operating system for global project procurement. Prodbay is an early-stage, SaaS-enabled marketplace designed to become the financial and operational infrastructure for project-based industries. By bridging the gap between a B2B SaaS workflow engine and a deeply integrated supplier marketplace, we are building the ecosystem needed to streamline multi-million-rand project budgets.

The Problem We Are Solving
In high-stakes, project-based industries, procurement is broken. Agencies manage massive budgets using fragmented spreadsheets, disconnected communication channels, and manual supplier quoting. This results in severe operational bottlenecks, leaked margins, and zero visibility for end clients.

Our Current Focus (The Wedge)
We are replacing chaos with architecture. We are actively developing and rolling out our V1.0 multi-portal ecosystem, specifically tailored for our primary wedge: the Production Agency sector.

For Agencies: Building a centralized command center for financial tracking and project management.

For Suppliers: Developing dedicated portals to manage requests and track project histories.

For Clients: Creating transparent, real-time approval dashboards.

The Long-Term Vision
While our immediate focus is mastering the South African production industry, Prodbay’s core architecture is being built for massive horizontal scale. Ultimately, we are laying the foundational blocks to power global procurement, deploy embedded FinTech (capital lending, escrow, insurance), and provide data insights across multiple high-volume industries—from commercial events to boutique construction.

Current Status:
We are currently in our Pre-Seed phase, actively building and iterating our V1.0 platform alongside our first exclusive cohort of high-volume Industry Partners.
