Akram Salam

Akram Salam has a robust background in pharmaceutical research and development with diverse experiences spanning various prestigious institutions. Notable roles include Consultant positions at the Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University, where Akram contributed to significant drug development projects. As a PhD Candidate at Emory University School of Medicine, Akram discovered a novel antibiotic candidate and mentored several students, leading to publications and funding successes. Subsequently, at Alira Health, Akram optimized purification processes for FDA submissions and developed antimicrobial formulations. Currently serving as Scientist I at ProDevLabs, Akram utilizes analytical techniques to enhance wound dressing formulations. Akram holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Rochester and a PhD in Molecular and Systems Pharmacology from Emory University.
