Carolin Maier began their work experience in 2016 with an internship at U-NICA International AG. Carolin later worked as a Private-Equity Trainee at Omnes from 2018 to 2019. Following that, they were a Design Thinking Student Consultant at SUGAR Network for Design Innovation from 2019 to 2020. In 2020, they became a Design Thinking Consultant & Coach with Gemeinde Wittenbach, where they worked until 2021. Currently, they are the CEO & Co-Founder of Prodlane, a data-driven workspace for industrial product management and development.

Carolin Maier's education history begins in 2015 when they enrolled in the University of St.Gallen to pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Carolin completed this degree in 2019. Prior to attending university, Carolin obtained their Matura degree from Stiftsschule Einsiedeln in 2015, although the field of study for both their Matura and Bachelor's degree is not specified.

Following their Bachelor's degree, Carolin continued their education at the University of St.Gallen and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Business Innovation. Carolin completed this program in 2022.

In addition to their formal education, Carolin has obtained various certifications. In 2015, they earned the Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) certification from Cambridge Assessment English. In 2017, they received the Bloomberg Market Concepts certification from the Bloomberg Institute, BAT Campus Ambassadors. In 2018, they obtained the Fit for Finance certification from Universität St.Gallen - Hochschule für Wirtschafts-, Rechts- und Sozialwissenschaften. In 2019, they achieved a TOEFL iBT score of 107 points from The TOEFL® test. In 2020, they completed the SUGAR Global Innovation 9-month course on Design Thinking from the SUGAR Network for Design Innovation and also earned the Mastering Design Thinking in Organizations certification from the Hasso Plattner Institute.
