Frey Franken

Frey Franken has extensive experience in FPGA design and hardware engineering, currently serving as Team Lead FPGA Design at Prodrive Technologies since October 2016. In this role, Frey oversees the technical development and growth of a team of FPGA designers, while also contributing to the advancement of FPGA development competences through the creation of tools, workflows, and verification solutions. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Hardware Engineer at Topic Embedded Systems, with a focus on low-power medical devices and radiation therapy equipment, and as FPGA Firmware Engineer/Architect at Prodrive Technologies, where Frey worked on various projects involving VHDL, image processing, and custom CPU development. Frey's early career includes experience with FPGA tools at FEI Company and various positions in customer service and sales. Frey holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Fontys University of Applied Sciences.
