Jamie Staib

Head of DevOps at Proemion

Jamie Staib has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Starting in 1999 with Canarias Telecom, Jamie worked as a Data Engineer and Systems Engineer ISP, primarily involved in engineering, managing, and supporting networks and systems. In 2003, Jamie joined Unitronics as a Service Engineer, focusing on implementing and supporting networking, multimedia, and security projects. In 2009, Jamie moved to CiberCentro as a Solutions Engineer, where they provided technical leadership for enterprise infrastructures and mission-critical projects, with a focus on virtualization, networking, security, and automation. At Edosoft Factory in 2018, Jamie worked as a Senior DevOps Engineer. Following this, Jamie joined Ericsson as an Operational Product Owner at Reference EST Team, overseeing the maintenance and deployment of internal global clouds. In 2019, Jamie transitioned to Kentech S.L.U as a Senior DevOps Engineer, responsible for deploying product updates, integrating customer requirements, and developing CI/CD pipelines. Currently, Jamie is the Head of DevOps at Proemion, where they oversee the DevOps team.

Jamie Staib completed a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Kent from 1992 to 1995. Later, from 1995 to 1996, Jamie pursued a Master of Science degree in Communication Systems Engineering at the same university. In addition to their formal education, Jamie obtained several certifications including Scrum Manager in September 2018, PostgreSQL 9.3 Professional in August 2015, PostgreSQL 9.3 Associate in June 2015, ITIL Foundation V3 in March 2010, PROFESSIONAL CLOUD ARCHITECT from Google Cloud in October 2018, and Red Hat Certificate of Expertise in Configuration Management in June 2017.
