Co-Founder and CEO at Prof Jim

Deepak Sekar has over 13 years of experience in the technology industry. In 2020, they became the Co-Founder and CEO of Prof Jim Inc. Prior to this, they were the Founder, President/CEO, and Board Director at Chowbotics from 2014 to 2020. During this time, they and their team invented, developed and shipped Sally, the first fresh food making robot in the industry, and grew Chowbotics to be the #1 fresh food robotics company with more than 100 Sally robots shipped and $5M in sales. From 2012 to 2014, they were the Director at Rambus, where they started and led the Embedded Resistive RAM project. From 2010 to 2012, they were the Chief Scientist at MonolithIC 3D Inc., where they managed engineering and marketing teams and was the inventor or co-inventor of the company's monolithic 3D memory, logic and optoelectronic technologies. Finally, from 2007 to 2010, they were a Staff Engineer at SanDisk, where they started the bipolar Resistive RAM (RRAM) project and was the lead developer of a bipolar RRAM memory that had 10k cycles endurance, excellent data retention and yield.

Deepak Sekar has a comprehensive educational background. Deepak obtained their B Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras from 1999 to 2003. Deepak then went on to pursue a MS and PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2003 to 2007. In addition to their formal education, Deepak Sekar also holds certifications in Natural Language Processing Specialization from DeepLearning.AI (2021), Machine Learning from Stanford University (2020), Deep Learning Specialization from deeplearning.ai (2020), and a Nutrition Therapist Diploma from The Health Sciences Academy (2018).
