Michael Proffitt has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Michael started their career at APC, where they served as Director of Global Marketing and oversaw the business development of a $200 million business unit. Michael also held multiple roles in technical support, account management, system engineering, product management, and service management.

After APC, Proffitt worked at Sun Microsystems as a Product Line Director, responsible for directing the $250 million storage area network (SAN) business and managing strategic partnerships.

Michael then moved on to McKesson Health Solutions, where they served as Director of Market Strategy. In this role, Proffitt developed scalable and standardized disease management services, allowing the company to target private insurance companies and health systems.

Proffitt later joined Sunrise Medical as VP of Marketing, International Sales, and Product Management. Michael developed the strategic planning process and executed the multi-million marketing plan while maintaining international sales across Asia, Australia, Middle East, and the Nordics.

Before their current role, Proffitt founded LightenUp Fitness, LLC, a lifestyle coaching firm focused on behavior change for weight loss. Michael researched and developed a behavioral modification program that has helped hundreds of clients achieve and sustain their weight loss goals.

Currently, Proffitt is the Director of Analytics at Professional Case Management, a home healthcare organization. In this role, they focus on understanding market and client trends to drive profitable revenue growth for the company.

Michael Proffitt graduated from Babson College in 2003 with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Michael specialized in Entrepreneurship & Finance during their time at the college. Prior to that, from 1991 to 1995, they attended the University of Rhode Island, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Industrial Engineering. Michael Proffitt also holds additional certifications in various fields, including Health Coach from the American Council on Exercise (ACE Fitness), Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) from McKesson Health Solutions, and Personal Trainer from ACE Fitness. Michael has also received certifications in the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People from FranklinCovey and the Seven Step Problem Solving Methodology from the Center for Quality of Management.
