Mark Kestner

Dr. Mark Kestner presently serves as the Senior Clinical Advisor to ProCredEx. As a leader in healthcare, Dr. Kestner has a proven track record to actively engage physicians, nurses, and employees in substantive change. He is a strategic thinker, able to quickly diagnose challenges and create activity roadmap for organizational improvement in quality, safety, patient engagement, physician alignment, clinical integration and standardization, resource utilization and revenue enhancement through the integration of clinical expertise with a business mind set.

Dr. Mark Kestner received his medical degree from the University of Michigan, completed a general surgery residency and began his surgical career in the U.S. Army during which he completed a critical-care and trauma surgery fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital at the University of Miami. He retired from the Army as a Lt Colonel and went on to serve as a Chief of Surgery, Chief Quality Officer and Chief Medical Officer in integrated and community-based health systems. He left clinical practice and completed his MA in Executive Leadership through Gallup University and his MBA through University of Nebraska. He subsequently has served as the Chief Medical Officer and as a consultant for academic, community-based integrated and non-integrated health systems throughout the US.

Dr. Kestner has spoken in many national and international forums on these topics related to innovation in healthcare to include Center for Healthcare Transformation, National Press Club, and before the House Committee on Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health. He lives in Washington DC with his wife, daughter, son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren.
