Wes Heath's work experience begins in 2010 when they worked as a Rural Health Extension Volunteer for the Peace Corps. From 2012 to 2014, they served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia State University, where they provided statistical programming and analytic support for various research projects. In 2013, Wes had an internship with the Georgia Department of Public Health as an Epidemiologist Intern, where they developed software to analyze data from the CDC's National Healthcare Safety Network surveillance database.

Starting in 2014 and continuing until 2022, Wes held multiple roles at Georgia State University. As a Software Engineer, they developed web applications for public health interventions and built automated tools for project management. Wes also worked as a Data Scientist, cleaning and maintaining research data sets, conducting statistical analysis, and building fraud detection measures.

Wes began their educational journey at Georgia State University and received a Bachelor of Arts - BA degree in Anthropology in 2007.
