Aaron Schwartz

Aaron Schwartz is a seasoned professional in the fields of biotechnology and pharmaceutical business development. Currently serving as the General Manager of Emerging Technology at Profluent since September 2025, Aaron is responsible for expanding partnerships beyond the company's original focus on Genetic Editors. Previously, Aaron held the position of Vice President of Business Development for Pharma and Biotech at Ginkgo Bioworks from June 2021 to September 2025, concentrating on building strategic partnerships in drug discovery and development. Prior to Ginkgo, Aaron worked at Novo Nordisk as Director of Search & Evaluation in Global Drug Discovery, focusing on identifying therapeutics and research partnerships. Aaron's career also includes significant roles at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Technology Licensing Officer and earlier experience as a strategy consultant at Akceli and Mercer Management Consulting. Aaron holds a Master of Science in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Chicago.
