Ali Madani

Ali Madani is an accomplished researcher and entrepreneur with expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and computer vision, currently serving as the Founder of Profluent Bio since July 2022, focusing on AI applications in biological sciences. Previously, Ali worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Salesforce from July 2019 to June 2022, where responsibilities included leading the ProGen moonshot for protein design. Ali co-founded an EHR startup from January 2018 to July 2019 and held various research positions during graduate studies at UC Berkeley, earning accolades such as the UC Dissertation Award and the AHA National Innovative Research Grant. Ali's technical experience spans across diverse fields, including deep learning for cardiac ultrasounds at the University of California, San Francisco, and developing cognitive assistants at IBM Research. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Applied Science and Technology, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, all from the University of California, Berkeley.
