Emil Stenbacka has a diverse work experience in the field of design engineering and mechanical design. Emil worked as a Design Engineer at Profoto from September 2012 to present. Prior to that, they worked at Flux AB as a Design Engineer from September 2011 to September 2012. Before Flux AB, Emil was employed at Semcon where they served as a Mechanical Designer from December 2010 to August 2011. At Semcon, they were responsible for the mechanical and shape/color design of light fixtures for Flux AB, as well as the mechanical redesign of a computer cabinet for SJ and the mechanical design of a ladder fixture for SJ. Before Semcon, Emil worked at Etteplan as a Mechanical Designer from August 2008 to December 2010. At Etteplan, their main responsibilities included mechanical/system design of pipes and valves on a power plant owned by Mälarenergi, as well as converting 2D-CAD to 3D-CAD for Sandvik.

Emil Stenbacka completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Product Design from Malmö University, which they attended from 2003 to 2006. Prior to that, from 1999 to 2002, they studied Natural Sciences at Gullstrandsskolan, although a specific degree is not mentioned. Emil then pursued a Master's degree in Industrial and Product Design at Jönköping University from 2006 to 2007. Later, in 2007-2008, they attended Fachhochschule Salzburg for exchange studies and completed another Master's degree in Industrial and Product Design.
