Ward Warmerdam is a seasoned financial researcher with extensive academic and professional experience. Currently serving as a Senior Financial Researcher at Profundo since January 2013, Ward has also held a position as a Lecturer at Leiden University, where a course on the Chinese Economy and Development was designed and taught. Previous roles include Research Assistant at the Institute of Social Sciences, focusing on social protection in China, and Manager and Language Trainer at Inner Mongolia Word Consultancy Co., Ltd., which involved navigating business challenges in Inner Mongolia. Ward's educational background includes a PhD in Development Studies from the International Institute of Social Studies, an MSc in Political Science from Universiteit van Amsterdam, and a BA in Philosophy & Politics from Keele University.
