PEPS
Melanie Roper, LMSW, is an experienced professional in early childhood development and social work, currently serving as Program Director at PEPS since February 2022. With a background spanning over a decade, Roper held various leadership positions at Neighborhood House, including Associate Director for Prenatal to Five and Director of Home Based Services, leading initiatives such as Early Head Start and the Parent Child Home Program. Roper's expertise also includes roles at Catholic Charities of Idaho and other organizations, where responsibilities involved intensive case management for refugee families, mental health consultation, and parent education. Roper’s education includes a Master of Social Work from Boise State University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Seattle Pacific University, alongside executive leadership training from the University of Washington.

For nearly 40 years, PEPS has served thousands of families in groups with trained facilitators, research-based curriculum, and an approach to help new parents meet, share, and build community. With PEPS, parents create strong, healthy families with concrete support, social connections, and parenting resources. Serving King and Snohomish counties. PEPS is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization.
