Edwin Velez

Edwin Velez is a seasoned professional in investment sourcing and evaluation, currently pursuing a BBA in Finance at Zicklin School of Business. From 2023 to 2025, they served as the Director of Build to Rent Acquisitions at Progress Residential®, the largest owner of SFR homes in the United States. Prior to this, from 2025 to 2023, they advanced to Senior Director of BTR Acquisitions, where they played a key role in producing acquisitions for this investment trust vehicle of private equity firm Pretium. Their earlier experience includes significant roles at Cushman & Wakefield, where they managed financial analysis and supervised underwriting for multifamily brokerage teams. Additionally, they were an Operating Partner at Skatepark of Tampa, Inc., optimizing operations for a portfolio of seven companies.
