Andrew Wanczowski has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Andrew began their career in 2005 as a Web Developer for CA Technologies, maintaining the online store for consumer products. In 2008, they worked as a Database Application Developer for Estee Lauder, designing and developing a web application for tracking maintenance and vehicle records. Andrew then joined the American Institute of Physics in 2008 as a Senior Web Application Developer, where they eventually became a Team Lead.
In 2011, Wanczowski became a Systems Architect at Conde Nast, where they architected a comprehensive digital asset management solution using MarkLogic. Andrew also implemented batch metadata enhancements and facilitated communication surrounding integration with third-party products. At Univision Communications Inc., starting in 2015, they served as an Architect for Metadata & APIs, leading architectural designs and implementations for the Univision Digital Sports vertical. Andrew then transitioned to IPTC in the same year, where they served as a Delegate, aiding in the design of metadata models leveraging XML, JSON, and Semantic Graph.
In 2017, Wanczowski joined KlarisIP as a Chief Architect, overseeing solution architecture and technology efforts for a boutique consulting practice specializing in Content Supply Chain, Digital Asset Management, Intellectual Property Management, and Semantics. Andrew provided architectural and engineering guidance to top-tier companies.
Wanczowski returned to MarkLogic in 2019 after the company was acquired by Progress Software. Andrew initially served as a Principal Solutions Engineer, aiding clients and prospects with architecture, development, and education on MarkLogic Server and MarkLogic Data Hub. Andrew then transitioned to the role of Senior Principal Solutions Engineer, focusing on Knowledge Management, Semantic Knowledge Graph, and Enterprise Search solutions.
Throughout their career, Wanczowski has demonstrated expertise in various technologies and domains, including XML, JSON, Semantic Graph, Knowledge Management, Digital Asset Management, and Enterprise NoSQL database systems. Andrew'swork primarily focuses on solving complex data problems and providing architectural guidance to drive business strategy.
Andrew Wanczowski received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from St. Joseph's University New York in 2008. Andrew also earned minors in Studio Art and Philosophy during their time at the same university. In 2011, they completed their education with a Master of Science in Information Systems from Long Island University. In addition to their degrees, Andrew obtained certifications in Information Systems Applications and Marketing Advertising and Public Relations from St. Joseph's College in 2008.
