Barbara Gurgel

Barbara Gurgel is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in customer relations, editing, and academia. Currently serving as a Senior Customer Account Representative at Progress Software since June 2015, Barbara focuses on customer communication, maintenance of customer records, and inter-departmental collaboration. Barbara has also taken on roles as a Graduate Teaching Fellow at UMass Dartmouth and as Chief Editor for the Center for the Study of Targeted Killing. Prior experience includes positions as Copy Editor and Research Assistant for the Initiative for the Study of Asymmetric Conflict and Editor and Author for the publication Latin America Digit@l. Barbara holds degrees from Harvard Extension School and the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, including a Master's degree in Journalism and a Master of Arts in Professional, Technical, Business, and Scientific Writing.
