John Whitney

John Whitney has a diverse work experience starting as a US Air Force Fighter Pilot in the USAF TAC Command from 1986 to 1991. John then worked as an Airline Pilot at Delta Air Lines from 1991 to 1993. Following that, they held roles such as Junior Application Developer at New York Mercantile Exchange from 1994 to 1995, Senior Technology Consultant at Ernst & Young Global Consulting Services in 1995, and Senior Application Developer at Deutsche Bank from 1997 to 1999. From 1999 to 2003, they worked as a Senior Application Developer at John W. Henry & Co. John then joined ING as a Senior App Analyst from 2005 to 2011. After that, they worked at Ipswitch, Inc. as a Principal Developer from 2011 to 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Software Engineer at Progress, starting from May 2019.

John Whitney completed their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 1980 to 1983. John then pursued their Master of Public Administration in Organization Management from Golden Gate University from 1987 to 1989.
