Sundar Subramanian

EVP & GM, Infrastructure Management at Progress

Sundar Subramanian views his role as Executive Vice President, General Manager of Infrastructure Management as elevating his team’s ability to solve complex customer challenges. From DevOps and DevSecOps, application performance monitoring and full stack observability, to network and security operations, Sundar’s team delivers products that drive customer success and accelerate time-to-value.

He thrives by setting a vision, then unlocking his team’s potential to make a sizable impact. It’s a leadership approach honed over a successful career building scaling and selling SaaS products. At AthenaHealth, he led SaaS platform product teams in building scalable microservices, data portability and interoperability between multiple electronic health record systems. Prior to that, Sundar was Vice President of Products at Sequoia-backed Citrus Payment Solutions, later acquired by Naspers. Sundar also served as Vice President for Kaseya, where he built multiple cross-functional teams charged with driving the company’s revenue growth. Sundar was also the Director of Product Management at Salesforce, after co-founding a startup company Salesforce acquired.

Outside of work, Sundar encourages the passions of his two children, one who loves computers, the other who enjoys running. Sundar joins runs when he can, admittedly trailing more often than not. But it’s all good because Sundar draws positive energy from new experiences, gaining immense enjoyment from the simple act of learning, then doing. Sundar brings this insatiable curiosity and startup mindset to Progress, challenging his team to think creatively and devise novel solutions to drive the company forward.

Sundar holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Drexel University and a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
