Ian Rivers

Ian Rivers has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in software development and technology.

Ian is currently working at Progressa as the Director of Software Development, a position they have held since April 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Software Development Manager from January 2020 to April 2022 and as the Team Lead - Technology from March 2017 to January 2020. Ian also had a role as a Software Developer at Progressa before becoming a Team Lead, from the start of their employment in 2016 until March 2017.

Before joining Progressa, Ian worked at Syscon Justice Systems as a Software Developer from May 2015 to December 2015. Ian also gained extensive experience as a Software Developer at iClinic Inc. from June 2010 to May 2015.

Ian's earlier work experience includes serving as a System Administrator at Alma Mater Society of Queen's University from May 2009 to April 2010, where they played a key role in managing the company's computer/server infrastructure. Ian also worked as a Helpdesk Analyst at Thomas Cook, North American Head Office from May 2008 to September 2008, where they developed a reputation for quick detection and resolution of clients' IT issues.

In addition to their software development roles, Ian has worked in marketing and customer service positions earlier in their career. Ian was a PlayStation Marketing Representative at Segal Communications from April 2007 to September 2007, and a Customer Service Representative at Blockbuster Video from January 2006 to April 2006.

Ian Rivers attended Queen's University from 2006 to 2010, where they completed a Bachelor of Computing (Honours) degree in Software Design. In addition to their degree, Ian also obtained a certification as a Certified Software Development Associate from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in April 2010.
