John MacKay

John Mackay is an experienced mechanical designer currently working at Progressive Design, Inc. since February 2022. Prior to this role, John served as a Design CAD Draughtsman and Trainee CAD Draughtsman at Ross-shire Engineering from September 2012 to February 2022, where responsibilities included providing design support to engineers throughout the project lifecycle using CAD software. John's career began with an apprenticeship as a Mechanical Fitter at Isleburn Ltd in 2012, followed by a role as a laborer. John Mackay holds a Mechanical Engineering (NC) degree from UHI, completed in 2012, and is a graduate of Dornoch Academy, where studies took place from 2004 to 2010.
